Supplements and Psychiatry

Between ChatGPT, Google, and Social Media and the rise of influencers in our government, you may start to question why psychiatric providers and primary care providers are not offering you complimentary and alternative medicine treatments for your mental health care. You know there is always that person in your life or stranger online telling you to just eat better, exercise more, or take supplements. You begin to wonder if your provider is just prescribing you medication because he or she is undeducated about them or wants to make sure you "stay sick", or worse, is in cahoots with "big pharma".

This is not the case for most providers. Many of us, whether MD, NP, or PA, went into healthcare to, in fact, help people feel better.

It can be assumed, that most of society in the United States is already aware that moving your body more and eating whole, non processed foods is good for you and can make you phsycically and  mentally feel better. Eight hours of uninterrupted sleep, drinking less or no alcohol, and not using illicit substances or recreational drugs will directly benefilt your overall wellness.
